FARM PROGRAM

Our Farm Program provides farmers with access to farmland, technical support, and connections to local markets, helping to strengthen food sovereignty and create economic opportunities within low-income immigrant communities. We empower participants to combine their traditional foodways with modern farming techniques and food innovation strategies to produce healthy, sustainable, local food. The program currently serves 20–30 farmers and hosts an annual Mavuno (Harvest) Festival each fall to celebrate their achievements.

WELLNESS AND MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM

Our community members often face unique mental health challenges and limited access to culturally relevant care. Wakulima’s Wellness and Mental Health Program helps community members connect to essential resources including food assistance, healthcare, dental services, substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, and mental health support through community-based care coordination. We also refer our community members to trusted providers to reduce stigma, strengthen resilience, and promote overall well-being. Our goal is to make it easier for community members to find the resources they need to thrive
